| Fitness Statement | At the age of 43 I joined a weight loss challenge at work, knowing I was a bit overweight. It was only for 3 months, but I lost 20 pounds mainly watching what I ate & walking a lot & running on the treadmill. One year later I joined the challenge again after maintaining my weight loss from the previous year still. This year I decided to try & start running outside, not really sure I could at the age of 44, but slowly I ended up being able to run a half marathon that year & lost 25 more pounds in the process. I have managed to maintain that weight since then & contribute running for one of the reasons I am able to do this! |
