Fitness StatementCompetitive grand master who averages 50-70 miles training per week year round. I've been a member of Runners Roost Elite Racing Team for last 5 years and co-manage Phidippides Track Club. My weekly training consists of 4 key workouts - a track workout, 2 tempo runs and a long run (12-20 miles). The other 3 workouts are typically 6-8 miles and are recovery/easy runs with 1-2 days per month taken off. I also lift weights 3 days per week.

run This type of workout is going to get you in shape!!! Hope you are warming up enough first. In high school once we did 48x440...took us three hours. We were running 70-73secs per quarter...
