| The fifth annual Cox Providence Rhode Races will feature a marathon, half marathon, 5k and kids fun run. With over 6,000 participants in 2011, Providence is one of the fastest growing, affordable races in the northeast! Race weekend kicks off Saturday, at Roger Williams Park with the 5k at 7:30 a.m followed by the Kids Race at the park. The Cox Sports Marathon will start at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, in Downtown Providence, Rhode Island. The Half Marathon will start at 8:00 a.m. from the same location. | |

Course Description
The Cox Sports Marathon starts in Downtown Providence, Rhode Island. This USATF certified course is a Boston qualifier and is a mix or historic urban and rural neighborhoods. The course heads south to the East Bay and Bannington.
