| The Statesman Capitol 10k is the largest 10K in Texas and the fifth largest in the nation. In its 35th year, the Capitol 10k attracts the silly to the serious and has become an annual rite of Spring in Austin. Expect to see lots of patriotic costumes and families jogging and walking after the runners. The winning time lat year for men was 29:58 and women 34:52 and 10,177 finished. A big benefit for many great causes in the Austin community. | |

Course Description
The course begins on Congress Avenue and takes you on a tour around the State Capitol building, then pours you out on 15th to Enfield Road. Runners take a left on Winsted Lane to Atlanta Street, then straight down W. Cesar Chavez to the finish line.
