run "HR est. Data looks odd, probably dry sensor belt.My effort felt fairly steady, maybe a little subconscious ramp-up. Honor system staging gets some odd ducks up front, but it began to spread out fairly quickly.pre-race routine. On the other hand, coming off IR an odd second here or there wasn't critical. (coach): I believe they call this a corrupted file. I make it easy for you don't I? Me: i am a corrupted file. That HR zigzag is probably ICU material. You don't make it easy, you just make me better. The 10 yr old jackrabbit that came in the chute just in front of me started half way between me and the start line, as did some double-wides and others. Despite that I started behind a number of front markers that did not have the pace, the course thinned out fairly quickly and the poor corral hygiene was a minimal factor. My Polar came out exactly 3.1 for 27:11, apparently documenting my apex prowess or confirming that my variance is proportional to the mis-calibration of my watch. About half way, I was feeling a smooth stride more like the good days last year."
