| Fitness Statement | Regan is only 9 years old and will attempt to become one of the youngest runners to complete the double. Regan has been working out with his local high school cross country team to prepare for this unique race. During an 8 mile training run he finished 2nd on the team, and also finished 4th out of 17 during a recent two mile time trial. Regan began running at the age of 4, after seeing his dad experience a heart attack. Not only did Regan accompany his Dad to 14 weeks of cardiac rehab, but decided sitting and coloring was not enough.... he began to exercise and lift 2lb weights right alongside his dad. Regan brought a smile and determination to all those in cardiac rehab. Regan is an advocate for youth fitness at both his school and the Kansas City community. |
| Running Achievements | Holds numerous youth MO state records in the 5K run including 20:16 at the age of 8. Is a two time youth all-American in both track and cross country. In 2012 Regan finished 2nd nationally in Coaches Classic XC at 2000 meters and 5th in USATF XC held in New Mexico. Finished 3rd nationally and earned the bronze medal in AAU track and field in Houston, TX running a 5:30 1500m in 90 degree heat. Finished 7th nationally in Iron Kids triathlon in only his 2nd triathlon ever in 2012. Kids youth pacer for the Hospital Hill 5K the past two years. |

Ran 8 miles with Smithville Warrior Cross Country team. Difficult run due to heat and humidity.
