Well, today was my first day doing cardio at the gym. I have just been doing strength training trying to regain strength in my wrist. I have about 100 days to get up to pace so I can do the 5K in Cancun....without making a fool of myself, of course.
I think I pushed myself too hard this morning. Arms, Abs and crunches...felt OK until about the last 20 minutes then my body decided that it wanted to throw up. Blahhhhhhh!!!!! Need a few gallons of water....and maybe a break tomorrow:)
Back from the new gym. Pleasantly surprised at my strength gain this week. Upper body is feeling great...legs feel like wet noodles. Glad I don't have any stairs to walk at home. I need to take a couple motrin and go to sleep.
Not me- but teaching my little girl. Daddy got a workout this morning running after her...I'm guessing it was a mile or so. Definitely out of breath. Hitting the gym later today.
The wrist is holding up pretty well. I'm staying focused and remembering not to push it too hard...don't need to be a superhero, just need to get on a regular routine that makes the most sense for me. I need to read my own body and maintain my own pace...not worry about what others are doing so much.
My wrist is still recovering from surgery and the numbness is starting to go away... I am slowly starting strength training to stay active and to feel healthy.
