Fitness Statement	I have been a lifelong asthmatic and running has allowed me to have a normal healthy life. Asthma is always there, but the running keeps it in check. I love running the long races because I am not particularly fast, but am particularly stubborn and tenacious. I run from 20-40 miles a week depending on whether I'm training for something or just having fun and combine that with weight lifting to keep the upper half in as good of condition as the lower half. I have always found running akin to meditation, a place where I can find peach with myself.

Running Achievements	While I've been running since I was 15, I never raced until I was 51. My first marathon was the San Diego Rock N Roll in 2011 where I entered with a bunch of other tech executives. I was astonished that I finished first in my peers with a finish time of 4:59:35. This year, I ran the Skyline-to-Sea 50K and finished at 7:23:25 with only one person older than me finishing faster. My life goal is to finish 80 marathons by age 80, including the ultramarathon that runs Hadrians wall from Cardiff to New Castle.
