| Comments | I lLOVE RUNNING especially since it is now easy for me. I hope to keep the only non - race around, the mile, in the mix. I think running is GREAT because everyone can work at Personal Records for as long as they live. Ane if there is one thing that my fantastic dad did to make life happy, it was to constantly be working to improve (with measurable results) everything that is important in one's life! I expect my BREAKOUT performance to be a world record for the 3k at the Mountain Goat run here in Syracuse on May 7, 2017. LONG LIVE RUNNING! |
| Fitness Statement | I have had lots of UPS and DOWNS. (called bipolar). When I am up I am quite competitive as a runner. When I am down I put on weight and sleep a lot. When I come out of the no hope realm into the having hope I walk a LOT , then jog slowly for longer and longer distances. FINALLY, I have locked into the mindset that I always wanted to have. Now, I have the ability of my late great Dad, E.H.Ethridge, Jr. who was the Captain of the Yale track team in 1939 and a 99.9% competitor in track. I intend to be that for the over 70 runners, especially in the MILE and then any other event I choose to run. |

| Running Achievements | I broke 5:00 in the slow heat of the section 3 track meet when I was a junior at Cazenovia Central High School in 1961. In my senior year I competed in the state Cross Country race at WEST POINT and finished 26 out of 96 in my class. |
