Fitness Statement | I like to blend cardio, strength, and flexibility into my fitness routine. I am currently a substitute childcare teacher at my local YMCA, which gets me a free Y-membership, but normally I am dependent on free (running outside) or one-time-investment (a workout dvd) fitness. |

Finally know my small town in Spain well enough to go for a run- it's so hilly here, that will take some getting used to! Finished up with an arm-toning video workout!
Two things I discovered that will change my life:There are really awesome workout videos on youtube...34 minute ab workout videos. For free. I did not know that.It is possible to do a really effective ab workout while standing up. Aka no pulled neck muscles or bruises up and down my spine. I did a 34 min standing-up ab workout that I found on youtube, and I can feel it!!
Lifted weights and ran a 5K tonight...I'm not finished when I'm tired, I'm finished when I'm done!!
Busy day today with no time to get to the gym, but still managed to squeeze in a good backside workout!! Take THAT, busy schedule!!!
Got through my entire weightlifting routine today, but my stomach was an absolute mess and I was afraid running would do me in- walked a 3.1 on the cardio track instead of running it. Took forever, but at least I burned the same amount of calories!
Weights- had to up a few of them today! Great feeling!Followed by the usual 5K on the treadmill, and then roman arm chair (had to up the reps on that, too!) and crunches/stretching!!
Was still sore from the workout I did but figured I would be fine since my normal workout routine at the gym involves different muscles. Lifted weights for 30 minutes and was fine, but running was incredibly painful- only got a mile in, which is less than 1/3 of what I normally do!
Did some squats and kicks following a workout I got out of Cosmopolitan magazine. Definitely feeling it hours later!!!
Did weights, then ran a 5K in 28:30- beat my previous best time of 28:56! Walked a mile and then did planks and stretches!
5K in 29:20, weights, 1 mile walk!
