There were 19,057 finishers (6,607 men and 12,450 women) in the Country Music Half-Marathon, Sat., April 26, in Nashville, Tenn., as Joseph Chebet, 22, of Uganda and Gisela Olalde, 28, of Mexico won the men’s and women’s races respectively.
Chebet ran 1:10:37 to edge Mark Pepin, 25, of Homewood, Ala., who finished second in 1:10:42. Rounding out the top three was Nashville’s own James Ryan Snellen, 30, who ran 1:11:27.
Olalde won the women’s race in 1:18:51. Allison McLaughlin, 23, of Colorado Springs, Colo., was second in 1:21:51 and Ashley Evans, 27, of Nashville third in 1:22:54.
